Ok, I'll admit it. I'm not incredibly fond of showers. But let me explain- I've always had long hair, and drying and straightening takes a good while. When I'm working out and sweating, showering is a must. But when I'm inside with the boys, like I've been the past few days... Eh. That leads me to today. Owen and Caleb went down for their nap at the same time, so i thought I would lay down with them. Caleb ended up waking up early, so I got up instead. I figured it was the perfect time to shower, since Owen would sleep for another good hour. Owen was sound asleep and Caleb was playing with toys in the bathroom. So, I step into the shower and get my hair wet. The moment I am entirely soaking wet, Caleb falls while crawling and lands face first on the hard floor. He started wailing, and I tried my best to soothe him from the shower. And alas, Owen wakes up in his crib and starts screaming "iPad...iPad..." seriously??? I rushed through my shower, shaving way too fast with a new razor, and picked up Caleb so he would stop crying. He returned to his happy self, Owen went back to sleep, and I'm soaked and stressed. Clean? Yes. Currently, Caleb and I are playing in the closet (it's huge), so that Owen can sleep for a while. Calebs playful screeching is loud enough to wake up the neighbors. Ugh. Now is it clear why showering is not currently a priority in my life??? To get a relaxing shower, I either have to get a babysitter or do it when the boys go down at night...and id rather sleep :)
Ps- my sister got engaged! Pics and blog soon.
I'll come over and babysit so you can shower !!!!
ReplyDeleteMarc, I haven't washed my hair in three days..........
ReplyDeleteI totally get this now that I'm a momma!
ReplyDeleteHilarious...I am not sure how I will manage the shower situation one day. My hair with out a daily shower looks like a greasy mop...so that is just not an option.
