TWINS!

No No No, Im not having twins. Heaven help me :) BUT... I did get to see twins today! Let me start from the beginning-

I have recently started working at the South Austin Pregnancy Resource Center. A woman at our church works there, and Ive always been interested in counseling and working at this type of place. Our church has gotten more involved with the center, so I decided to volunteer! Nathan puts in extra hours on other days and even wakes up at 6 to work from 6am-9:30am on Monday mornings so I can work at the center from 10 to 4. I LOVE it. I love the volunteers and the women who come to the center. Ive only been there for about 2 months, and I already cant imagine not being there.

One of the things that Ive enjoyed being trained to do at the center is sonograms. Ive always had a heart for sonos- when working at the animal hospital while living in Louisville, I did my sonograms on my own belly throughout my pregnancy. I also did a number of friends and really loved it! So, doing sonograms at the Pregnancy Center felt like a perfect fit.

So, today I was able to do a few ultrasounds, but one in particular was so wonderful! I wont go into the details of Gods grace in this woman's life and the redemption he has given her, but when I started doing the ultrasound, it became quickly clear that she was having TWINS! It was incredible. We got to see two 11 week old babies dance around in her belly. She was shocked, and I was so excited! So So awesome. It looked a little something like this-

I love the SAPRC and how they bring the love of Christ to those hurting or in need.
