sleep, dear one.

pllllleeeeeeease sleep! after a short nap this morning, i thought owen would be snooooozing during his afternoon nap. normally he talks for about 15 mins before falling asleep. hes been talking and fussing for 40 mins now. but he HAS to sleep! i guess i just let the kiddo fuss until he sleeps, no matter how long it takes. he is pretty stubborn!

can i just let everyone know that i am SO thankful for a hard working husband? he is amazing. since we have been in denton, nathan has been doing things around the house for his dad, so that we can pay the bills. the last two days, though its been 38 degrees outside, nathan has been painting garage doors and other things around the house. he's currently wearing 2 pairs of socks and 2 pairs of gloves, out there working hard. i am so blessed! praise God for a husband who wants to provide for his family. we appreciate it so much!

owen and i went to target today and got a little storage shelf for his rooom when we move. im excited! it looks like this, though its light wood to match his bedroom furniture, and the storage boxes are dark blue, pale green, and tan. love it!

ive already filed our taxes and we should get a decent refund pretty soon. sooo, i may be getting a few things in advance :) we're also looking for an ottoman for the living room, to use as a coffee table and a storage area for owen/calebs toys. right now we just have a big basket to use, and it looks pretty tacky. this is the type of ottoman we're looking for-

tonight, nathan and i are going to have dinner with julie and michael stone. we are VERY excited! i grew up with julie and we finally live close enough to get together some. it should be a delightful dinner at macaroni grill :) yum!

here are a few recent pics of the boy- he was using my makeup bag as a hat yesterday...

and this is the latest game that owen and daddy play. owen wasnt being as cooperative as usual, but you get the point.

ps- owen is finally snoozing!

  2. That storage bin is perfect, now I must go and get one so I can stop using big empty diaper boxes for toy storage. haha.

I miss you dearly and am so happy things are going well. I'm determined to be at Target one weekend so you can really see me instead of a look a-like. ;P
