as i was feeding my boys this morning, preparing them for naps, i had the sudden realization that my life is crazy :) not crazy out of control, just crazy! i LOVE being a stay at home mom and wouldnt trade it for the world, but it makes for some fabulous stories! i thought id give you a rundown of my last 15 hours-
last night was normal. caleb was covered in boogers, so i gave him a bath. i stripped him down and had him sitting on my lap while i filled up the tub, and he went pee-pee allll over my lap. then, after i bathed him and was about to take him out, he spit up all of his dinner into the bath water. lovely :) we put the boys down like usual around 7. however, both boys seem to have allergies all of the sudden and are very congested and coughing. owen coughed ALL night. probably once every 2 minutes. we ended up waking him up at 11, sucking the boogers out of his nose with a nose frieda :), giving him medicine and starting a vaporizer in his room. then, at 4 am, caleb started crying. i let him cry until 5:30 when i finally got up and attempted to nurse him. however, because he couldnt breathe through his nose, he just got VERY frustrated. i walked with him for about half an hour and finally let him cry himself back to sleep. i couldnt go back to sleep because i was coughing, so i went and laid on the couch until everyone got up at 7:30.
we had a pretty normal morning, lots of poop diapers and spit up, but overall normal. however, while getting ready for naps, caleb accidentally knocked a giant candle off of the table and it shattered on the floor. he was sitting in his bumbo, spit up his breakfast, and owen thought it was hilarious. owen was all done, so i put his tray on the table, not thinking about caleb. caleb reached for owens tray, i dove for it at the same time, and calebs feet ended up in his rice-cereal bowl. SO, as i was stripping my 6 month old down to his diaper to clean him up for naps, while walking carefully around the shattered glass, i realized that maybe this is a bit crazy?? but in the sherman household, its become quite standard! the house will be clean, boys will be clean and happy, and all will be well when daddy walks in from work! ah if he only knew :)
