Pee-Pee Pants

So, you would think from the title that I'm referring to Owen. No, no... I would be referring to myself. And so the story goes...

Nathan and I went shopping for a washer and dryer this morning and took little Owen with us. In between stores, I needed to feed Owen, so I went ahead and did it in the car. I'm not gonna lie, I'm getting pretty good at changing his diaper on my lap in the back seat of the car and feeding him. SO, I'm in the parking lot of Target, changing Owen on my lap in the back seat, when he decides to start peeing as soon as I remove the diaper. For those of you who have baby boys, this is no surprise. I threw my hand over the fountain of pee-pee and thought that he had stopped. However, after about 20 seconds I felt a lovely warm sensation on my lap. Yes, he had peed for a solid 20 seconds, all of which went directly to my pants. He was completely soaked, and I looked like I had peed myself. (These were my khaki linen pants, mind you). Luckily, I had an extra outfit for Owen that I found in the car, but it's a newborn size. Bless his heart, he couldnt even straighten out his legs in it! It took me about 20 minutes to clean us both up and get everything back in order. At this point, I wasnt going home to change, and I had 2 more stores to check out. So I did it. The salesmen all probably thought that I had peed my pants. Nope, Owen peed my pants. Nice.

On a different note, Owen has discovered his tongue lately. When youre holding him over your shoulder, he'll lick your shirt until its soaking. The doctor told me that I need to do more tummy time so that he can build his back muscles, but he doesn't cooperate. He just lays on his belly and licks the blankets. Yesterday I was giving him a bath, and every time my hand got near his mouth, he licked me. Ah I love this kid :)

SO, Nathan and I got a new washer and dryer! Wahoo! I won't have to listen to our horrible dryer screeching anymore! Thank heavens for that tax refund. With as much laundry as I'm doing these days, it was the perfect investment. How do three people, one of which is a tiny person, produce 2 loads of laundry a day? Kind of ridiculous.

I'm still kind of in awe with the whole pregnancy process. How did we go from this...

to this...

in a matter of days? God is so good.
