I. HATE. BEES. i hate them i hate them i hate them. how am i supposed to enjoy being outdoors when bees are dive-bombing my head? ok, they werent really that bad, but i HATE always having to be on the lookout for them. im almost done pulling the weeds in the flowerbed, but i think im going to have to finish tomorrow morning before the wasps come out. and those giganto bees that look like they could kill someone. uh. i took owen for a walk a bit ago, and a wasp kept getting so close to owen that i finally had to hit it away with my hand. yikes. when i was in the front yard, my neighbors were out on the front porch and a bee came after me. i started doing a crazy dance in the yard and screaming. i try not to be a big sissy. but i am. they think ive lost my mind.

thunder is today and its caarazy out there! for my texas/florida folks, thunder over louisville is a gigantic airshow and firework show that kicks off the month of derby. its super fun, and the biggest firework show in north america. we are having three couples come over to grill hotdogs and watch the show from our backyard, since we live right on the river. it should be wonderful!
